This March I am walking 10,000 a day to raise money for Cancer Research UK
being chronically ill in your late teens and early 20’s is weird. like healthy people your age are becoming doctors and nurses and you show up at the emergency room with some already awkward intestinal issues or throwing up etc., and in walks a nurse or doctor that’s like hella hot and you have to explain why you’re dehydrated bc your body won’t decide on diarrhea or constipation for the past 2 months and you’ve been throwing up and you now have some weird new symptom bc chronic illnesses are assholes…
like the dating game is hard enough for able bodied people, let me catch a break for a minute.
yikes, having actual connections with and being emotionally open and vulnerable around another human being is a wild trip
“When I say, ‘I love you,’ it’s not because I want you or because I can’t have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I’ve seen your kindness and your strength. I’ve seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You’re a hell of a person.”— Rebecca Rand Kirshner
